A little about us ...
After having a collie since 1964, Ginger bred her first Collie in 1975 while living in PA.  At that time our home was on the side of a wooded mountain which was surrounded by three creeks, hence the name "Creekwood Collies" was born.

While in PA, Ginger was corresponding secretary for the Central Penn Collie Club.  Then she moved to Ohio, where she was a member of the Cleveland Collie Club.  Gingers first homebred Champion, CH Creekwood Lochlomun Investor was awarded 3rd in the "Working" Group.

Robin started showing in junior show and breed classes at age 8, winning under such prominent judges as Dot Gerth, Bobbie Roos and Mary Hutchinson.  Following in her mothers footsteps, as a teenager, Robin finished her first Champion, CH Creekwood Dixie Land Delight.

After making lifelong dog show friends in Ohio, in 1986, Ginger packed her kennel and moved to NJ.  Robin continued to help show and whelp her mom's collies while they lived in NJ.  One of highlights of the time was winning the 1994 Collie Club of America National Speciality in Niagara Falls, with CH Thornacres Simply Grand.  Again, winning in 2015 with our own homebred girl, GCH Creekwood Hot Chocolate.

In 2003, Ginger moved to South East Ohio and Robin stayed in NJ.  Still wanting to be involved and close, Robin would meet her mom at shows and help.

At a show in 2007, on a whim, Robin bought her very own collie puppy, a half brother to one of Gingers champions from Joan Kirkland.  Finishing him at 11 months old, GCH Kirkhaven Sandman Dream Chaser started Robin's part of the Creekwood Kennel legacy.

As a mother and daughter team living 500 miles apart, we continue working together breeding and showing quality collies.  We have owned and/or bred many many champions with many more being pointed or major pointed.  We certently wouldn't have had the success we've had without the loving support of, Bob Mehr and are happy to add Ron Luster Jr., joining our family and team.  Ron has bred and shown a Best In Show winner and Top 10 winner.

Ginger is a member of the Collie Club of America, Cleveland Collie Club and Collie Health Foundation.  Robin is a member of the Collie Club of America, Central Jersey Collie Club, Newton Kennel Club, Collie Health Foundation and an AKC Judge.
